Each service includes a recommended price based on local and platform-wide averages. Providers can adjust their pricing to reflect the value they offer, such as premium products or faster service.
If you feel the pricing was too high, you can reflect this in your rating.

The price you see is the upfront cost for the callout, covering the first hour on your premises.

If additional items—such as sundries, pipes, or electrical components—are required, those will be charged separately at your discretion, as technical issues may require specific parts. If no parts or items are needed, this is the only price you will pay.

Note: serviceSpot takes a small service fee from the provider, which is included in the call-out cost.
We evaluate companies on four key factors, each scored from 1 (Poor) to 5 (Excellent):

Professionalism: Communication, reliability, and ethics.

(e.g., 1 = Unresponsive, 5 = Polished).

Pricing: Fairness and value of spares and items used.

(e.g., 1 = Overpriced, 5 = Great value).

Customer Service: Support quality.

(e.g., 1 = Unhelpful, 5 = Responsive).

Product/Service Quality: Performance and satisfaction

(e.g., 1 = Substandard, 5 = Exceptional).

Final Rating: We add the scores, divide by 4, and round to a 1-5 star rating:

1 Star: Avoid | 2 Stars: Below average | 3 Stars: Decent | 4 Stars: Reliable | 5 Stars: Outstanding

Note: Companies that charge more may do so because of their professionalism, expertise, or the quality of materials used. The pricing score reflects fairness and value in context.

Yes. Your payment is securely held and only released to the service provider after you sign off on the completed job. Each provider carries a digital job card on their smart device, which you will be asked to sign upon completion.
Yes, you can reschedule your service up until 24 hours before the scheduled time. This policy helps protect service providers from last-minute cancellations. After that point, the service can only be cancelled, and cancellation fees may apply.
ServiceSpot does not directly issue refunds or handle callbacks. However, we provide communication channels for you to request a refund or callback from the service provider. Responsibility for resolving the issue rests with the provider. For full details, see our [Refund and Callback Policy].
Yes. After booking your first service, simply return to the booking page and click “Book Now” to schedule additional services.
We rate providers based on four factors, each scored from 1 (Poor) to 5 (Excellent):

Customer Service – Helpfulness and responsiveness

Service Quality – Work quality and client satisfaction

The final rating is the average of the four scores, rounded to the nearest whole number:

Note: A higher price might reflect better quality or professionalism, which will be visible through the provider's rating.
Yes. When signing off on a job, you'll be prompted to leave a rating. Alternatively, go to My Bookings > Specific Job > Rate Service. If you request a callback, you’ll be prompted to update your rating based on how the provider handled the issue.
If extra materials or services are needed, the provider will give you an on-site price estimate. Payment for these extras will only be processed if you accept the quote by entering your job OTP.

This process ensures transparency, trust, and satisfaction for both you and the provider.
Yes. During checkout, you can include additional notes like “Beware of dog,” “Call to open gate,” “Bring a ladder,” or “Need extra piping.” Some special requests may carry an additional fee.
You can book a wide range of services—from beauty care to electrical work, plumbing, garbage removal, pool care, and more. Availability depends on the providers in your area.
If a service isn’t listed, you can invite a provider to join serviceSpot. If they sign up using your referral code or link, you’ll receive a discount on your next booking as a thank-you.
Yes, you're free to communicate directly with your provider to reschedule, provide details, or request additional work. However, we strongly recommend using the serviceSpot platform for all transactions and communications, as we can only guarantee secure payments and support when bookings are managed through our system.
Most providers also prefer serviceSpot because it streamlines scheduling and reduces administrative work.
If a provider fails to meet expectations, you can report them. serviceSpot takes safety, professionalism, and service quality seriously. We will investigate reports and may remove providers who don’t meet our standards. You can report providers via their profile page or through My Bookings > Specific Job > Report.
Yes. Your last 3 months of bookings are stored under My Bookings. You can also download invoices for completed jobs from the same section.
Yes. Each booking has a status indicator and real-time tracking so you can see what’s happening. You’ll also receive email notifications at key stages to keep you informed.
