FAQ
No, serviceSpot is open to all service providers—whether you're a solo professional or manage a large company with multiple teams. The platform is designed to scale with your needs, making it just as effective for individuals as it is for businesses with complex operations.
While we recommend that larger companies reach out to us directly to discuss customized setups—due to the added complexity of managing multiple teams and the higher server demand—this is entirely optional and not a requirement.
Yes, your payment is secure in every possible way. We require customers to pay for the initial call-out (typically the first hour) upfront before the job is scheduled. This payment is securely held until the job is completed and the job card is signed.
If there are any additional charges, the client is billed, and the extra amount is secured before the additional work begins. No need to chase clients for payments, no need for card machines, and no risk of lost payments during a busy workday.
No, you are not required to be exclusive to serviceSpot. You are free to use other platforms, take bookings by phone, or continue with your existing systems. We believe in giving service providers the flexibility to run their businesses the way that works best for them.
That said, we highly recommend using serviceSpot as your primary booking platform—and here's why:
-
Simplified Admin: With one centralized system for bookings, job cards, invoicing, and client communication, you reduce time spent managing multiple tools or processes.
-
Reduced Costs: Many other systems charge monthly fees, transaction fees, or require ongoing maintenance. serviceSpot provides a cost-effective alternative with no ongoing platform fees—just a small fee per successful booking.
-
Fewer Scheduling Conflicts: Our real-time availability system helps prevent double bookings or confusion across multiple calendars.
-
Improved Customer Experience: Clients can book you easily, receive automatic updates, and review your work—all in one place.
-
Payment Security: Payments are secured in advance and released after job completion, minimizing the risk of unpaid work.
-
Professional Presence Without a Website: Your serviceSpot profile page can act as your online storefront, complete with services, reviews, and a direct booking link—no need to build or maintain a separate website.
In short, while you’re not tied exclusively to us, using serviceSpot as your main platform can streamline your operations, improve client trust, and boost your profitability—all without the overhead and complexity of running multiple systems.
-
Your Company Profile Page is a dedicated space on the platform where customers can view your services and make direct bookings—without being shown competitors. By sharing your unique link or QR code (on signage, flyers, vehicles, etc.), potential clients are taken straight to your profile for focused engagement and easy booking.
This also means that service providers who don’t have a website—or prefer not to constantly pay for one—can rely on this professional, easy-to-update profile page as their primary online presence.
ServiceSpot lists all relevant service providers based on three main factors:
-
Proximity to the customer’s selected area
-
Availability on the chosen date and time
-
Price (from lowest to highest)
All providers offering the requested service are displayed, regardless of their price or rating. However, better pricing, availability, and strong reviews can improve your position in the list—ensuring a fair system that rewards value and performance without excluding anyone.
-
Yes, you can set your own pricing for each service you offer. While serviceSpot provides a recommended call-out rate based on industry averages, you have full control to adjust your prices as you see fit. Keep in mind that significantly higher rates may impact your business negatively—especially if your customer service or product quality ratings don’t justify the premium.
Payments are typically processed within one business day after the client signs the job card upon completion of the work. Actual transfer times may vary depending on your bank and account setup.
Clients can request a callback by going to My Bookings > Specific Job > Callback at the bottom of the page. You will be notified of the issue. serviceSpot provides a communication channel for you to resolve the matter directly with the client, but does not intervene. The client may revise their review based on your response to the callback.
Clients can leave a review when signing the job card, or within 3 days after job completion. Reviews contribute to your overall rating. If you believe a review is unfair, you may request a review appeal from serviceSpot.
